Weaving together elements of dress history, labour history, and art history, this special tour focuses on how clothing was used throughout the Revolutionary period.
Join us at GPO Museum as we explore Irish dress history, and its evolution over the centuries, how revolutionary figures used clothing to further the cause for Irish independence, and how this intersects with the fight for workers’ rights. Clothing is a vital part of everyday life and through it we can understand society, culture, and politics.
Please note this tour includes descriptions of violence and may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
