“It’s easy to die for Ireland. What Ireland needs is people to live honestly for Ireland,” – Helena Healy – mother of Sean ‘Jack’ Healy, Fianna member.

On this specially created tour you will discover the stories of the children and teenagers who took an active part in Ireland’s fight for independence. You will uncover the devastation caused to families who lost children in the crossfire in battles across Dublin and Ireland. This tour brings the memories of these sometimes forgotten young people back to life and explores the society and culture that brought them so close to the action and events of the time. Learn about the men and women who trained them, the families left behind and those who grew up in a swiftly changing Ireland. Journey with us through the Dublin they ruled, hear their stories and understand the importance of commemorating these young lives.

Please note that this tour may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
