

GPO Museum
The GPO (General Post Office) is one of Ireland’s most iconic buildings and the award-winning GPO Museum is a must-see on any visit to Dublin.
The GPO is famous for being the headquarters of the 1916 Easter Rising which set in motion an unstoppable chain of events which would ultimately lead to the creation of the Irish Republic.
The museum tells the story of the key events which shaped modern Irish history including the 1916 Easter Rising, the Irish War of Independence, the Anglo Irish Treaty, the Irish Civil War and the Troubles and resulting peace process in Northern Ireland with the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.

Should visitors require audio commentary, you can scan a QR code on arrival with your phone camera to access our free audio-guide or rent an audio-guide headset for €2.00. The audio guides are available in English, Irish, German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Group Bookings
For group bookings of ten people and over contact central reservations to avail of special group rates. A guided tour option is also available and this must be pre-booked in advance by contacting our reservations office.
